The KLEIN LAN Scout® Jr. 2 Cable Tester (KL-VDV526-200) is a compact and durable tool designed for testing installed or loose data cables (CAT 5e, CAT 6/6A) terminated with RJ45 connectors. It features a large backlit LCD screen, making it easy to read wiremap results and pin configurations even in low-light environments.
This tester reliably detects common wiring faults including Open, Short, Miswire, Split-Pair, Cross-over, and Shield issues. It also includes a multiple-style digital tone generator (solid or warble) to trace cables (requires a separate probe). Designed for job site durability, it has a soft, slip-resistant overmold for easy gripping and comes with a self-storing remote that fits securely into the body of the tester.
