The KLEIN Scout® Pro 3 Tester Starter Kit (KL-VDV501-851) is a versatile diagnostic tool designed to locate and test voice (RJ11/12), data (RJ45), and video (Coax F-connector) cables. It ensures accurate installations by detecting Open, Short, Miswire, or Split-Pair faults and displaying results on a clear backlit LCD screen suitable for low-light environments.
This tester measures cable length up to 2,000 feet (610 m) and features a Hub Blink mode to easily identify port locations on a switch. It includes a multiple-style tone generator for cable tracing (probe sold separately). The kit comes with a self-storing remote plus 5 LanMap™ and 5 CoaxMap™ location remotes, allowing professionals to map and identify multiple cable runs in a single step.
