The RIDGID 1224 Threading Machine is the industry standard for threading a wide range of pipe including black, galvanized, plastic-coated pipe, IMC, and heavy-wall conduit. Capable of threading 1/4" to 4" pipe, this machine is powered by a 1-1/2 HP induction motor that helps minimize noise, making it ideal for indoor use or enclosed spaces.
It features a special capacitor-start/capacitor-run motor that allows the machine to thread a full range of material even where voltage drops are experienced. The 2-speed gear box offers a 3:1 ratio, operating at 36 RPM for smaller pipes (up to 2") and 12 RPM for larger pipes (2-1/2" to 4") or tougher materials like stainless steel. The through-the-head oiling system ensures constant lubrication of dies and workpieces for high-quality threads.
