The KLEIN TDR Cable Length Meter (KL-501-915) is a portable and advanced tester utilizing Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology to accurately measure cable length and locate faults. It is capable of measuring electrical, data, two-wire, and Romex® cables up to 3,000 feet (914 m). The device identifies Distance-to-Fault, Open, or Short conditions on both terminated and unterminated cables.
Designed for efficiency, it comes pre-programmed with Velocity of Propagation (VoP) values for Coax, Data, and Romex® cables, and allows users to store custom VoP values for consistent accuracy. It features a simple interface with a full-color interactive LCD and includes a built-in tone generator for wire tracing (requires separate analog probe). The unit connects easily via RJ45, Coax-BNC, or high-quality alligator clips.
